What is not checked here
- This is not an AML check. Source of funds and links to scams, mixers, gambling or darknet markets need a paid label database.
- US sanctions (OFAC) only. EU, UK and UN lists are not included yet.
- “Not frozen” means not frozen right now. An issuer can freeze an address at any time.
- USDC on Solana and other stablecoins are not checked yet.
- A look-alike fake address (address poisoning) cannot be seen from the address alone. Copy addresses from the official source, not from your transaction history.
Frequently asked questions
Is my address stored?
No. The format is checked in your browser. For balances and freeze status, your browser asks public blockchain nodes directly (Blockstream, PublicNode, TronGrid, Toncenter); blockchain data is public anyway. We only count checks per network, without the address.
What is the difference between USDT TRC20, ERC20 and BEP20?
It is USDT on three networks: Tron (T… addresses), Ethereum (0x…) and BNB Chain (0x…). ERC20 and BEP20 share the same address, so a wrong network choice does not show in the address. Use the network the recipient asked for.
What does “frozen” USDT mean?
Tether and Circle can blacklist an address in the token contract, usually at the request of law enforcement or after a hack. The balance on that address cannot move, and USDT sent there gets locked too.
Does a green result mean the wallet is safe?
Not entirely. Green means the format is right, the address is not on the OFAC list and its stablecoins are not frozen. Where the funds came from and links to scams are not visible here: that is a separate AML check.
I sent to the wrong network. Can I get it back?
It depends on who owns the address. If it is your own wallet on an EVM network, the funds usually show up once you switch the network in the wallet. If it is an exchange address, contact the exchange support with the transaction hash. Blockchain transactions cannot be reversed unilaterally.
Why does an all-lowercase Ethereum address have no checksum?
The EIP-55 checksum lives in the letter case. An all-lowercase address is still valid, but a typo inside it goes unnoticed. Copy the address from your wallet: wallets usually show the checksummed version.
